2026 LATEST NEWS, UPDATES & INFORMATION

Barry Guess

We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Barry Guess, one the founding fathers and leading lights behind the Abingdon CAR-nival. Barry was one of those that started this event 29 years ago, bringing to life the idea of a motorsport weekend at Abingdon Airfield that has evolved over the years into the cherished event it is today.

While Barry may no longer be with us, the dedicated team behind the CAR-nival remains the same, many having been involved since the very beginning. We are committed to honouring Barry’s memory by putting on an event that he would be proud of. Despite this loss, we confirm that this year’s Abingdon CAR-nival will go ahead as planned. We expect to release the regulations and open entries in April. Thank you for your continued support.

If you have questions prior to the issue of the regulations please contact Bryan Hull at:  hqmsport@gmail.com
